Grenfell Tower Inquiry to resume on 8 February

The Grenfell Tower Inquiry aims to resume hearings on 8 February.

The hearings had been due to restart in January after a Christmas break but the decision was taken not to restart in-person hearings following the announcement of the latest coronavirus lockdown.

Now they will resume using a “Zoom-based” video platform and allow all those who would have been required to be on site for the limited attendance hearings to participate from remote locations.

The Inquiry said the remote hearings were a “temporary measure” and would only be used for as long as is “absolutely necessary”.

When the hearings restart, the Inquiry will continue to hear evidence about cladding products, their testing, certification and marketing.
